We never fail to order this dish when we had "Zi Cha". The super soft tofu with thick gravy goes so well with a bowl of rice. Do you know you can cook this dish from your kitchen too? Let get started again.
Happycall "Claypot" Tofu 铁板豆腐
Items you need:
- 2 tubes of egg tofu
- 200g minced meat
- 8pcs of medium size prawn
- 100g Diced pumpkin
- 200g French beans
- 1 pack of Mushrooms
- Minced garlic
- 2 eggs lightly beat
Seasoning for gravy
- 1 cup of water/broth
- 1-2 tablespoon of oyster sauce (depend on your taste)
- pepper to taste
Steps:
The best thing is, I only need to wash one Pan!
- Marinate the pork n prawn with some soya sauce, pepper & sesame oil
- Pan fried the tofu in Happy call with some oil till both side golden brown.
- Stir fry garlic, pumpkin (closed lid for 1mins)
- Stir fry meat & prawn (closed lid for 3-4mins)
- Add in French beans & mushroom. Stir fry for 2 mins then add in a cup of water. You can add more water if u want more gravy. Season it with a tablespoon of oyster sauce & some pepper. Closed lid to cook for 3mins till it boils
- Add in potato starch water to thicken the gravy. Scoop out everything into a Bowl & set aside
- Used the same pan to cook the 2 eggs. ( closed lid for 2 mins)
- Add in everything + tofu into Happycall.
- Closed lid for 3 mins. It is ready to serve!
The best thing is, I only need to wash one Pan!
